Basketbally Superstar!

Brayden has been doing Smart Start Basketball for a couple of months now with his dad and he is really great at it. He has a lot of fun.

And here is a cute shot of dad "multi tasking"- one of his many talents-- and check out Brielle- I feel like she is so HUGE- I call her my giant baby. She is growing up so fast.

oh and just as a side note- I am still loving my cake decorating hobby but I don't want to keep posting about them because this blog is supposed to be about my family- However due to some complaints/ requests- I am going to add a sidebar picture of my most recent cake which I will update whenever I do a new cake- that way I wont overwhelm you all with cakes when most of you visit to see the kids :)

Baby in a Basket

Sometimes we play with our baby like she is a toy- yes I know it seems a bit silly --- but see she seems to like it!

Happy Valentines Day Everybody!

There was an explosion of Valentines fun at our house this morning. I love my hubby and kids so so much. What a fun holiday!
This is the cake I made Kevin for Valentines. He requested a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake a while back but I turned him down- saying that those are not the kind of cakes I am currently into making-- but for Valentines day I decided to make an exception. Now anyone in the area who sees this post is so welcome to drop on by for a slice- we have LOTS to share!

Attention Parents Everywhere

Next time you think of buying your child some new toy- think again. I have a better idea for you. Last week I bought one of those hand held dust buster things to try and get the stuff the vacuum doesn't get to. Well, Brayden has pretty much taken it over and spent more hours happily vacuuming then he has playing with all of his Christmas presents combined--- and our floors have never been cleaner! He can't wait for it to finish charging and then he goes at it again and again. Constantly, I hear- "mom, can I vacuum now?" He even begged his best buddy Mark to come over and see his new vacuum. Its hilarious, and wonderful. Today after play doh when the floor was covered in those dried up play doh crumbs he was able to clean the whole thing up himself. I'm telling you all --this is a mom's dream come true. The best $15 I ever spent!

Toys, pajamas, cupcakes, and snow, snow, snow

First, a Brielle update... isn't her facial expression hilarious- thats they way she looks almost all the time, except when she is smiling at you of course. She is getting so big and this morning she actually played with a toy- a definite milestone. Brayden and Makenna were beyond thrilled that they could entertain her with toys. So sweet!
Here the kids are showing off some new pajamas Oma sent. Quite the posers aren't they? Thank you Oma!

I was sadly disappointed that we didn't make a cake in our cake class yesterday so I woke up this morning and decided to make cupcakes- cute arent they? It was really fun.

This winter has been filled with so much snow- it's hard to believe. Shoveling is a daily chore and sometimes a twice daily chore. I just love how Brayden is always eager to shovel alongside his wonderful dad. I think it makes him feel ten feet tall!

Thanks for the socks?

This morning I got the kids dressed and cute and then they added "the socks"-- a gift from Grandma they were all too proud to display :)
