9 Months Old

This boy is getting sooo big. He is just so loveable and wonderful. A true joy! He is a happy easy going baby still. He is starting to eat a lot of real food and requiring meals like the rest of the family now. We wont talk about sleep cause thats a bit frustrating. He isn't crawling but he is getting close. For this picture it was very hard to keep him in the corner of the couch. He tried to dive off many times. He can roll and go from laying down to sitting up all on his own. We just love love love him!

A Very Hungry Caterpillar

We all know the book about the very hungry caterpillar but I feel like I can understand it so much better now. I had a thriving potted tomato plant on my deck that we water every night. One night it was leafy and luscious and then the very next evening when we went out to water it... it looked like thisAll because of two of these lovely or not so lovely caterpillars...
Such a shame...
We tried to net the plant to keep the caterpillars in. We thought since we had lost our tomato plant, at least we could keep him as a science experiment. It seemed only fair. Somehow though both caterpillars escaped. Guess thats life...

Hard to Say Goodbye

While we were on our way to the airport for our trip to Canada, we heard word that Kevin's Grandpa, Duane Brandvold, had passed away. Kevin was able to fly to Utah from Canada for the funeral. It was very hard to say goodbye. Kevin loved his grandpa very dearly. We take comfort in knowing he is now happily reunited with his sweetheart in heaven. Eternal Families are a great blessing.

Our Canada Trip July 2011

We just got back from a fabulous trip up North to spend some time with Family. We just love to see them and we wish it could happen more often. Here is a photo recap:

First task: Getting there. The kids did well on the flights. Emmitt was mostly a good traveler. He definitely preferred flying when he had his own seat :)

Calaway Park:

Big Hill Springs:

The kids did great on our hike. It was beautiful! Scott was my awesome helper to back pack Emmitt all the way to the top.
After our hike we had a picnic lunch and went wading through the stream. It was ice cold so the boys had great fun daring each other to go all the way under the water. There was sure a lot of screaming and laughing going on.

Julie's Splash Park:
All my pictures are of the babies. You can't blame me for loving this cuteness!

Mommy's Birthday:It was the perfect birthday present to be at home with my Family for my birthday. Grandma made me her famous homemade carrot cake. Kevin bought me 30 gorgeous roses, Julie and Jason hosted a yummy birthday breakfast and then Grandma treated me and Julie to a FABULOUS afternoon at the spa. Besides the fact that I turned 30 (yikes!) it was the best birthday ever!

Grandma's Park:

Emmitt LOVED the swing. He would just laugh and laugh and laugh. It was tear-jerking cuteness!

Grandma's House
:
Our Favorite Place for Chillaxin

And more little baby adorableness...

Cousins. The kids all just loved hanging out. They had so much fun and hopefully made some great memories. When it was all over it was heartbreaking to make them say goodbye. Hopefully its not goodbye though... hopefully its
"See you soon"

Born on the Fourth of July

This year Kevins parents flew into town to celebrate the big Birthday weekend with us. We kept busy with the neighborhood parade, a birthday lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, a baseball game with friends and a fireworks show and of course the traditional flag cake. It was a great weekend. Happy Birthday Kevin!

The pictures arent great but here they are:
