Bridal Veil Falls

On Monday night we went walking up in the canyon. It was an absolutely lovely evening with clear blue skies and bright orange leaves. The kids really enjoyed it and it was a good lesson to them on being greatful for the beautiful earth. I was impressed by Braydens ability to recognize the majestic beauty of it all. He was the one pointing it out to me, as opposed to it being the other way around. We really have great kids.
Yes, Brayden is indeed getting too big for me to hold

Happy Birthday Makenna

Today Makenna is 2! We celebrated yesterday with both a football party and an actual birthday party. It was a fun and exciting day. Excuse the excessive number of pictures but she only turns two once!

Brayden picked out this princess dress to give to Makenna. It was very cute.

I just liked the above picture because of those goofballs laughing in the background-- just kdding Scott and Brad, we love you guys.Brayden may have struggled a bit as Makenna got all the attention and presents but at least he had his Oma to comfort him.

Kathy was so kind to come and bring Makenna a gift- what a sweet friend! If you are thinking that is one scary looking Dora-- you are right indeed.

Here's our own little BYU team.Above: These are all the kids that joined us for the football party--there is actually one little girl missing. In addition we had about 10 adults so it was a good crowd. A full house. These are our cutest cheerleaders, Makenna, Natalie, and Emma.

What a character

The other day Brayden was asking me about some of Makenna's old shoes. I told him they were too small and he jumped in and said, "but mom, we have to keep them, just in case another baby comes out of your tummy."

As I was putting the kids to bed a few days ago, Brayden said to me, "Mom, if you hear crying, it's Kenna not me, because big boys don't cry. Well just if they are hurt or scared they cry, that's all...or sometimes if they get lost, oh and mom they also cry if they are in time out."

And sometimes it's not what he says that's funny but the way he says it, like when he asked me this morning if we could go to the restornaut that has the hot budge.

Brayden's First Day of Preschool

Tuesday was Brayden's first day of his new preschool. He was very excited and I was very proud of him. Somehow he got it in his head that its cool to wear your socks pulled all the way up so he insisted that his were. In between each of the pictures I took he said, "wait mom, I have to pull my socks up."
I can never get out of him much about what he does at preschool but I think he likes it. Today when I picked him up he said goodbye to his teacher and gave her a big hug-- of his own free will even, so I think thats a good sign.

A Beautiful Wedding

Yesterday we went to Cousin Stevens wedding in Salt Lake. It was beautiful. This pic of Makenna is in the lobby of the Joseph Smith Building. They had a beautiful reception there.
I am very dissappointed that this pic didnt turn out better. The kids are in front of the temple- you just cant see it so use your imagination...isnt it beautiful!

The bridesmaids wore beautiful sari's and Kenna was mesmerized by them.
