The Sound of Music?

Well we recently bought a digital piano for our kids to take lessons on. Eventually if our kids stick to it, we will invest in the real thing but for right now... a piano with headphones is the greatest thing ever!

Emmitt is Four Months Old Today

I love this little guy... Can you believe how big he is. Click here to see his one month photo. My how you have grown!

By way of update... Emmitt is great. He is a happy little boy and so smiley all the time. He gives his best laughs to his brother who still ADORES him. He still has no set routine during the day and he is still pretty unpredictable at night... but so am I... sometimes I have the gumption to let him cry and other times I just give in. He only eats once per night but he still likes to say hello to us a few more times than that. I'm not complaining though. He is just the most precious little guy and I just love having him around!

Four Month Check Up Stats
Emmitt had his check up on March 3 and weighs 15lbs 8oz which puts him in the 59th percentile. His curve on the growth chart has gone down but the doctor isn't concerned at all. He said Emmitt looks a lot bigger than his numbers indicate... and I must agree. He is 50th percentile for height too so he's proportions are perfect. Its still a bit different from my other babies who were always 90th percentilers at this point (I think).
Weight: 15lbs 8oz 59th percentile
Height: 25inches 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 41.4cm 25th percentile

Valentines Party 2011

We had a few friends from our ward over for a Valentines Couples Party - 11 couples to be exact. I did the same thing last year. It might be a tradition. Its fun to have something for me to plan during these dreary winter months. Here's a few pictures:This is the table where everyone was supposed to put their appetizer. Everyone was supposed to pick a love quote to inspire their dish. It added a bit of fun to the night (maybe just for me).
The only stressful part of the party was feeling like I needed to do a cake. I did one last year so I felt like I had to again but I forgot how much work a simple little cake can be. I still enjoy it but my energy and time just isnt quite there yet... post baby...
After eating some delicious food (I did two chocolate fountains one white, one dark on the bar but forgot to take a picture). Everyone else brought apps so we had some great eats!

Happy Birthday Uncle Scott

It's so fun to have Scott living in Omaha so we can make his birthday cake. I let the kids do most of the decorating and they loved it and they LOVE their Uncle Scott.

A few cute pictures

We had a fun visit with Oma last week. She stayed with us for a week and a half so that she could be here when Aunt Jennifer had her heart surgery (the surgery went well and she is recovering nicely). The kids really enjoyed her visit. She took some great pictures... so here are a few...

A Bit of Brayden Catch Up...

We are so proud of Brayden for being chosen as student of the month. I think (in my hazy mother memory) that this occurred in November. He is an awesome student. All the teachers rave about him We are so proud. He also recently achieved his wolf badge in cub scouts along with seven arrow points. Thats a pretty big deal in cub scout world. Way to go Brayden...
