Christmas Day!

Christmas morning I awoke to a lot of loud stomping and singing coming from upstairs.  The kids had gathered in the playroom as planned and were anxiously awaiting their parents to let them come down.  Here they are lined up on the stairs ready to start the festivities.

We had a great Christmas morning.  We were abundantly spoiled and happiness did abound.
A few highlights included the kids opening up a paper with the details of our Spring Break cruise on it.  They were pretty excited about that one.  Another fun suprise was the tv I bought for Kevin and was able to totally legitimately surprise him with.  He had no idea!  Another one was the playsstation that Kevin was gifted at work that we gave the kids at the end as just a ... oh and one more thing... type of suprise.  Brayden was floored by that one.  Heres each of the kids with their presents:

And Dallas with his new toy:

It was a very Merry Christmas indeed.  We did have to sneak church in there because Christmas fell on Sunday this year but luckily our church time was 12:30 for this special Sunday so it worked out quite nicely.  The Grigors came over for dinner and we had a turkey feast and then played games until way too late.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Christmas Eve

It was fun to have family in town to carry out our Christmas festivities with.  First we went skating at the Dr Pepper arena- which was a lot of fun of course.  Then we had a yummy ham feast at the Grigors- followed by our traditional Christmas Eve program.

And then we came home and opened our traditional Christmas jammies:

Freddy Returns

This  year has been Freddy's naughtiest yet.  Among his biggest accomplishments are the wrapping of our main toilet in Christmas paper and the hanging of all the kids underwear on the fireplace.  Let me tell you- the kids were not amused by the latter. :) The kids got creative and tried leaving notes to see if he would answer.  Once it was asking his age and the notes in the picture below are 1- asking if he has a grandma and grandpa (from Emmitt) and from Brielle- asking if he could send an elf to her teacher to be in their classroom.  He also ate cookies and ice cream and decorated the Barbie dreamhouse.   As usual he added a lot of fun magic to our holiday season.

A little bit of Emmitt Humor

Yesterday at dinner, Emmitt said
"Brayden has been getting a lot of hair on his legs from running on the treadmill.  I dont want to run on the treadmill and get hairy legs like that"

School Christmas Parties

Part of the Christmas season is attending (and sometimes running) the kids Christmas parties at Elementary.  They are always on the last day.  So we have a party then head home to start our official Christmas break.
