We had fun at our Ward Christmas party over the weekend. I'm feeling grateful that all four kids were eager and willing to sit on Santa's lap- both young and old!

Our early Christmas
We enjoyed a visit with Oma and Opa for an early Christmas. The kids had a good time crafting with Oma and roughhousing with Opa.We wanted to celebrate Christmas with Oma and Opa so we had an "early Christmas." The kids were spoiled with gifts and we had a great time. Brayden got a very cool new sled and the girls got new figit friends (robot type friend toys) and bracelets. Emmitt got his very own vacuum that he loves. Jenn and Jay and Aurora joined us too and hosted us at their place for a yummy early Christmas dinner. It was a fun early Christmas.
And just because he is so stinkin cute that we cant even stand it, here are a few shots of Emmitt. One year old is my favorite age! ADORABLE!

I learned here that Oreos are NOT a good car snack!
Emmitts "thing" these days is roaring at and about everything. He loves to find books with pictures of animals and roar. Its very cute. He loved his new sippy cup with Dinosaurs- he just kept pointing and roaring.

The perfect snow...
Today, a Saturday, was the PERFECT day to play in the snow. The roads were abysmal so we were all stuck at home, the temperature was just a perfect 32 degrees and the snow was fluffy and sticky- PERFECT for some snow fun. I went outside just to take a couple of pictures and ended up staying out to play. It was a good time! Today I can say I was grateful for snow.
We started off making some snow turtles (in the picture with Kenna and Brayden), then we made a giant snow man in the backyard, then we moved on to fort making (which wasnt a great success) so then we headed to the fresh snow in the front yard to create our "snow family." The kids tired out half way through but Brayden and I persevered and now we have some very festive lawn decor.

"Mo"vember
A post by Kevin...
Luckily for us, Movember only comes around once a year...Those who are unaware of said "holiday", Movember is a mustache growing charity event held in November (mustache + November = Mo-vember) to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
My department at work decided that participating in Movember would be a great team-building experience - so at the sake of being branded a "non-team player", I was obligated to participate. Other than the fact that Brielle wouldn't allow me to give her a kiss for the entire month (she thought my facial hair was "gross") and the fact that I was constantly riddled with guilt whenever I went to church or conducted business for my church calling, I did enjoy not shaving for a month. The fundraising was a success, my department raised $6,300 dollars to which ConAgra is going to match 100%.
Here are a few pictures as I proceeded to shave off my facial hair at the end of the event:

This (above) is how I looked for most of the month - I got many "grizzly Adam's" comparisons.
This (above) is how I crafted my "stache" for the final closing Movember ceremonies at work - it's my "Y" mustache in honor of BYU (see it's shaped like a Y)
Now this ones a bit easier to stomach... almost like I'm a Super Mario Brother...
And finally after all these frightening faces, Melissa was oh so happy with this one.
