The students in 4th, 5th and 6th grade at Bell Elementary recently walked to Shadow Lake shopping center where they staged a "flash mob." That's an internet craze where people who appear not to be organized, spontaneously join together in a dance in a public location. With all the parents there too watch and such a large group of school children gathered mid day, it wasn't exactly inconspicuous but still a lot of fun. Here is a link to a clip....(Brayden is at the back row by the fountain with his back to me wearing a grey hoodie)

12 Months Old
So yes I am a couple days early but with the big birthday coming up this weekend I wanted to get this photo shoot out of the way. I am glad that this is the last "onesie with teddy" picture I am doing because this little sweetheart just doesn't want to stay still in the corner of the couch anymore. I am so sad to see him growing up yet so happy about it too. He is starting to take a step or two here and there which of course is very exciting. I just treasure everyday that I can still swoop him up and smother him with kisses or carry him on my hip and lay my cheek on the top of his head while his little hand pats my back. Those are my favorite mothering moments and those I know just don't last...

Brielle is 4!
Last Saturday we celebrated Brielle's 4th Birthday. She has been eager for this day for months! We had a princess party for her and I hope that we made all her dreams come true!
As often is the case, she requested a cake like Makenna had a couple years back. She wore her Belle dresss, had a Cinderellla cake and received lots of princess gifts. She is as "princessy" as can be. We just love having Princess Brielle in our family. It is an honor indeed!
Happy Birthday Brielle!

A day at the Pumpkin Patch
Here are some pictures from our trip to Vala's this past weekend. We enjoyed beautiful weather and had a great time. It was pretty crowded so our only disappointment was that we didn't actually take a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. The line was just too long. Otherwise though a good time was had by all...

The Hair Massacre of 2011
Last week, Brielle and her friend were playing quietly in the basement and Emmitt was taking a nap. I was foolishly enjoying the peaceful moment. When I called the girls up because Sophia's mom had come I discovered Brielle had a new look:

Well the girls told me that Sophia had cut Brielles hair (and her own a bit too). Her mother felt awful and we told the girls that was very bad. Then after she left I went downstairs to find that the scissor damage had gone far beyond their own hair. All the ponies suffered serious injury but Baby Alive was the worst off. She was pretty much balded. I filled my entire vacuum canister with hair when I cleaned up.

Luckily the dogs and Barbies were spared. It could have been much worse. Brielles hair though was pretty bad in the back. At the top there were pieces only about two inches long. and everywhere else there were various "layers." I took her in to get it fixed and I actually felt like they made it worse.
Luckily my neighbor came to my rescue and was able to do a better job of making it look somewhat like a real hairstyle.

The back though is still pretty "edgy." I think short hair is cute but whenever I look at her now I silently mourn her hair. Its surprisingly sad to me. Luckily though she isnt too upset about it- and I am pretty sure she has learned her lesson... at least I sure hope so.

The great blessing is that Hair GROWS!!!
(well at least human hair does... can't say the same for Baby Alive... she's not quite that "alive")

Here are some shots from my phone I took recently that were too cute not to post.
