Cranky Kenna

Lately Makenna has pretty strong opinions about...well, everything- esspecially her hair. Everyday she wants it in a ponytail- only one ponytail and not high but low, and in the back. Today while she was distracted by dragon tales, I did a different "do." Of course when she discovered it she had a fit, yelling to me "I dont like my crazy hair!" It made me laugh.

Isabelle (Neal and Susan's oldest) is the same way. Susan can hardley get her to put a single pony in her hair, she always wants something fancy. Susan likes the simplicity of doing the one pony. Every once and awhile she can convince Isabelle to have one pony in though. Annacy is opposite her hair is usually only in one pony. Girls and their hair. Boys are so much easier in this department.

I'm visiting your site to see how other people do their blogs...I love all your posts! First of all, the ponytail story makes me laugh because that was my daughter up until a few months ago - she grew out of it, but in the meantime we read 'Stephanie's Ponytail' a lot and laughed & laughed about all the silly ways to wear her hair...you MUST see if you can check it out at the library or wherever. You and your daughter will love it! :)

P.S. Your trip and photos of DC made me a little homesick. That was our old stomping ground - and SO much fun! There is this fantastic Jewish deli over by the temple, that we always tried to go eat at when we could. I would have recommended you try it, although I know being pregnant some new foods don't sit well with the baby and mommy.

Anyway, love your posts and figuring out how some day I will create my own blog. Looks like a really fun and memorable summer - I look forward to meeting you in when school begins.
