A little humour...

Often Makenna shocks me with the things that she says- for good and for bad. Yesterday in the car, she was talking to her friend Emily and this is how their conversation went:

Makenna: Did you know, my mom knows everything Jesus knows.
Emily: My mom does too.
Makenna: Well, did you know my mom could beat up a thousand guys.
Emily: Well, all moms can do that.
Makenna: Well my mom's mom, my grandma, she can't beat up that many.

No offense to grandma, I am sure you could beat up a thousand guys too :)

Hey I'm glad you checked out our blog - thanks for letting us see yours !. Funny thing- we realized we have some mutual friends. Kris knew Jessica and Scott Creer from his ward and the newspaper at BYU and Dave and Jen Softley were in our ward in Idaho when we lived there. Small world isn't it?! Makenna cracks me up - she is sure cute though.

That is one of the funniest things I've ever heard form a kid. They really do say funny things. I can't wait for Kallen to talk a bit more and hear what comes out of his mouth.

I'm wondering where she got the idea that you could beat up a thousand guys? I don't doubt it....just wondering what gave her the idea....

yes I wonder that too- it was a surprise to me that she was even familiar with the phrase "beat up"

Maybe she heard the story about Sampson & the Philistines and since you have longer hair . . . So, basically as long as Kevin doesn't shave your head while you're asleep those thousand guys better watch their step . . . Go Melissa!

As a side note, but still following the Sampson theory, I bet your mom is a pretty strong lady too. Her hair is shorter than yours, so you'd obviously be a little stronger. Now I'm so glad my hair is still long, I've been wondering where my exponential strength was coming from--mystery solved--thanks! :)

I am sure that this grandma cannot beat up a thousand guys (maybe one at a time but not all at once), but I guess we all know who can and who to turn to when we need that kind of help! Makenna is a riot - kids used to say my Dad can beat up your Dad, but know it is the Moms who are strong!

typo alert!
I mean "now" it is the Moms who are strong.
