Happy Birthday Emmitt!

 Emmitt is 9!  For his birthday we celebrated with bacon and donuts for Breakfast and then for dinner we went to Pie 5.  For his party, Brielle hosted a Harry Potter party that was super fun.  All the kids loved it.  Emmitts cake was a recreation of the cake Hagrid gave Harry in the first movie before he went to Hogwarts.  There was wands and magic lessons and potion making and quidditch.  It was all a great success!

Caramel Apples

Our fall tradition continues.  This year we did it while Brayden and Dad were out of town at preseason nationals.  We figured its for the best since Brayden is so weight conscious these days.  But we did miss them in our caramel apple fun.

Brayden goes to Homecoming

Brayden did not go to homecoming last year so this was his first and last!  All along he insisted he did not want to go and even though I thought it would be fun for him to go, I didn't push it.  Well, then he got a call about a week before Homecoming from his friend Collin Mack who used to live here.  He said he will be in town for homecoming weekend and wants to go so Brayden needs to find a date for him and a date for himself.  And that was I guess all it took.  Of course almost all girls had already been asked, so he reached out to his friend Emily who has a friend in Southlake who kindly agreed to go with him.  She had seen him on instagram before and actually had asked Emily to set the up so this was perfect (I guess).  She came to the Friday night football game and that was the first Brayden met Santi.  They got along great luckily and so then they went to homecoming the next day.  It turned out to be a great night.  The group did a day date at a trampoline park.  Then they got ready and did pictures and then dinner was at Prosper Pantry- which is our cousins local freezer meal business.  They have a lovely porch and backyard that was perfect for this.  Then the kids spent a brief amount of time at the actual Homecoming dance before coming back to our house where they ate waffles, watched football, played ping pong, went hot tubbing and sat around the fire.  Good time!

Homecoming Parade

Prospers Homecoming parade is always a fun time.  We love to come early and picnic on the grass and hang out with lots of friends.  This year we even had nice weather- it was a little on the cool side but usually we are sweltering so it was great!  This year was a special treat because Makenna was in the parade on the Lacrosse float.  She is playing on the Lacrosse team at school this year and loving it!  And it was so fun to see her in the parade.  Brayden was also in the parade as usual with the wrestling team and Kevin was a parent walker with the wrestling team too so it was a fun family affair!

Brielle is 12!

Happy Birthday to Brielle!  She celebrated with orange rolls for breakfast and Cheddars for dinner.  Among her presents was a record player and a couple of Taylor Swift vinyls.  For her party she invited her friends over and I took them to the mall for some shopping and dinner and then back to the house for cake.  The girls had a blast.  They could've stayed at the mall forever.

Last year we skipped out on Family pictures but this year it was a MUST!  With it being Braydens senior year, I thought it was pretty important.  The day we scheduled them was the Saturday of General Conference.  Its always stressful to get everyone there and ready but we did it.  Im mostly happy with them.  All the kid ones are great but I dont have a family shot that I just love.  Oh well, here's some of the pics.
