National Junior Honor Society

We are so proud of Makenna and all she does.  This year she was part of the National Junior Honor Society and was recognized for her academic achievements.  She is a smart and wonderful girl.  And we were lucky enough to have Oma and Opa with us so they could join us for this.

A little "work" in Hawaii

Last year, Kevin and I "had" to go to St Thomas for a work trip and this year we were lucky enough to have to go again but this time it was to Maui.  It was an incentive trip for the bottlers and we were brought along as hosts.  Mostly we just got to enjoy a lovely vacation and spend some time back in Maui where we honeymooned just 15 short years ago.  We stayed at the Ritz Carlton at Kapalua and it was just amazing.  It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

One day we did this catamaran snorkel trip.  The highlight was the whale spotting and the dolphins that were literally right beside and under our boat  It was spectacular!

We came back to eat at Leilanis in Whalers village and had to enjoy the famous Hula Pie.

Every morning we walked the Kapalua Coastal Trail and it was just the most beautiful walk right along the shore with sandy beaches and volcanic rock formations and tide pools and tons of turtle spotting in the waves.  I LOVED those walks.

On the final night we enjoyed a luau complete with this very entertaining coconut cutter.

It was a great trip!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Brielle and Dad had a really great time at the Daddy Daughter Dance.  Kevin showed up at our door to pick her up with flowers, then they met up with lots of friends for pictures.  Then they went out to eat and then were off to the dance where they reportedly "danced the night away."  And they topped the night off with some ice cream.  From what I hear it was a successful night and so much fun!

Spring Break Cruise

This year for Spring Break we took the whole family on a cruise.  We traveled on the Liberty of the Seas for 7 nights and visited Roatan, Belize and Cozumel.  It was a vacation of a lifetime.  We loved it.  I made a whole book about it so I wont flood the blog with pictures, but let it be known it happened and it was fabulous!
