Girls Trip

 I got to go on a fun little weekend getaway with my friends Lindsey Scott and Summer Christensen.  We went to Fort Lauderdale and stayed right on the beach.  It wasn't idea weather but it was still nice and fun to get away.  We loved talking and shopping and eating and talking.  It was a great little break from regular life- especially smack dab in the middle of Covid craziness.  The case numbers at the school were really spiking about this time so we were a bit worried one of us would end up having to stay home with a sick or quarantined kid.  But it never happened.  No one got sick including us or are kids.

A One Direction Lego Creation

 One day Emmitt and I were upstairs building with lego when along comes Brielle to join us. And what does she decide to create.... well I will give you a hint- lately her and her friends are obsessed with the band One Direction... and yes even the Lego could not escape its influence...

Saying Goodbye

 We loved our extended Brayden time over the holidays.  We were sad to see him go back to school.  

Go -Karting on New Years Day

 We went to Andretti racing with the Thodes on New Years Day to go go-karting.  It was crazy busy so we had to kill a lot of time in the arcade but eventually the kids and Kevin all went go-karting and had a great time.  

New Years Eve

 I didn't take many pictures this New Years Eve- only one dark picture of the polar plunge.  But we did have a great New Years.  We had the Corbridges and Christiensens over for games and snacking and Brielle had a bunch of friends over.  And some brave and crazy souls jumped in the freezing water at midnight.  Crazy kids!  (Makenna and Brayden both were out with their friends)

We had ourselves a Merry Little Christmas!

For Christmas Eve we started the day at Starwood Cafe with a great big breakfast.  Then we hit the bowling alley for some bowling fun.

That evening we had the Corbridges over for a Ham dinner and games and the traditional acting out of the nativity.

Then we opened our Christmas PJs before bed

It was the year of the Bucees pajamas.  They were a big hit.  I felt pretty proud of my pick.

Christmas morning... stockings first ;)

I had a very Mickey Christmas.  Brayden and Emmitt got me the mickey bars and that mickey shaped package contained Mickey pajama pants.  And Kevin got me the waffle maker I have been eyeing.

Everyone was spoiled and we had a lovely day.  Lots of food, games and presents.  We ended the day at the Petersons, enjoying some time together.
