Happy Happy Birthday Brielle!!!
For her birthday she woke up and we played Taylors Swifts song "15" of course. Then she opened presents- including some new cowboy boots, a Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift vinyl and some Marc Jacobs perfume. Then we were off to Starwood Dinner for her birthday breakfast. She had her favorite skillet (or skittle as some would call it) there but forgot to tell them no jalapeƱos so that was a bummer but she picked them out successfully. Then we stopped at her favorite drink spot Swig on the way home. We recently got our boat back from a long time in the shop where it got new upholstery, a surf system and a shiny new buff job. So Dad, Brielle and Emmitt went out on the lake for some surfing time. I stayed home to finish her birthday cupcakes and prep the house for her party. For her party we did a mall scavenger hunt. Emmitt and I had come up with the clues beforehand. It went pretty well, even though one of the teams got escorted from the mall for "horseplay" Luckily I was able to sweet talk the security guard into letting them back in with the promise that I would accompany them at all times. So that got a little hectic...but all in all it was a fun time. Brielles team won which is fitting since its her birthday.

Cupcakes and Happy Birthday to Brielle. (no those are not Brielles hands haha) |
As our summer drew to a close we made our way down to Florida for some beach time fun. We stopped on our drive in Hattiesburg and ate some delicious food and milkshakes at the famous Ed's Burger Joint. Then a quick stop at Bucees and we were on our way. We stayed at a hotel right on the beach that we had done last year at Spring Break. Our favorite things about the hotel included the location, the margarita pizza, the chicken strips and the bingo.
We booked a fishing charter one day and had an amazing day deep sea fishing. We were catching fish left and right and it was pretty awesome. We even got to see some dolphins. After we caught the fish we took them to a restaurant where they cook up what you caught and it was absolutely delish. A great experience for sure!
The Scott and Schaack familys arrived a couple days after us so we got to enjoy lots of fun beach time with our great friends. The kids even got to go Parasailing. It was so much fun!
So this summer Brielle got to experience the churchs new program - FSY. And SHE LOVED IT. She had a great experience and got to be with all her buds.
This year on my birthday Emmitt surprised me by making me eggs. This doesn't sound like a big deal but it was to me. I know he hates everything about eggs and has no idea how to cook. So when he looked it up on YouTube and figured it out all without anyone telling him to... lets just say I was very touched. Thanks Emmitt.
